My first visit to Playa Bowls was in September of 2016 with my father. We met up at the Belmar location to grab a quick lunch together. Playa Bowls catered to a niche in the market for acai products by offering consumers a product uncommon to the Jersey Shore. Hiking is something I took up in college that began as a stress reliever but quickly turned into a passion. What is the typical college student good at? Yes, you guessed it… procrastinating. Facebook messenger provides public figures, organizations, and businesses a powerful way to communicate with the 1.5 billion people on Facebook. With its integration with the Facebook Page Plugin, people can now easily message your business without ever leaving your website. This allows you to bring the conversations you have with people on Facebook to other places on the web and on mobile. For example, if you're a local shop owner, people can start a dialogue about a purchase order on your Facebook Page or on your website via the messages tab.
Earlier this year, Facebook introduced the Page plugin as a way to easily embed and promote your Facebook business page on your website. An earlier version of this existed in the form of the Facebook Like Box which allowed you to embed your timeline or display how many fans your page had.
Well Zucks and company took that concept and developed it into the Page plugin, which gives people visiting your site the ability to 'Like' your page, see which of their friends like your page, see your most recent posts, and click on your Call-to-Action.
By adding Facebook Messenger to the Page plugin, they've given people visiting your website the ability to send a message directly to your company's business page!
This is exciting because it offers businesses who may not have been receiving value they'd hoped for from Facebook, outside of paid ads or boosted posts, to use the platform to add live chat to their website.
It's great for businesses who may not want to pay a subscription fee for additional live chat software. And it could potentially reduce the number of missed messages from contact forms that occasionally end up being filtered as SPAM.
